How do I stop fake phone numbers in my Shopify popup?
Verify every number before the discount unlocks. Zoketo sends a 4-digit one-time code by SMS or WhatsApp, and the coupon appears only after the shopper enters it. Fake, mistyped and borrowed numbers never reach your customer list.
How does WhatsApp OTP verification work on Shopify?
The shopper picks WhatsApp in the popup, enters their number and receives a 4-digit code on WhatsApp. Once they type it in, the coupon unlocks and they're saved as a Shopify customer. You can send from Zoketo's shared WhatsApp sender or from your own WhatsApp Business number.
What if a shopper doesn't receive the WhatsApp code?
They can still get it by SMS. SMS verification is always on in every Zoketo popup, and WhatsApp is an optional extra channel. So shoppers can always fall back to a text message and no one gets stuck.
Does Zoketo charge a commission on WhatsApp messages?
No. Zoketo is an Official Meta Tech Provider, so with your own WhatsApp number Meta bills you directly for each message. Zoketo charges only a fixed monthly add-on: $25 on Shopify Basic and Grow, $75 on Advanced, $150 on Plus.
Will a popup slow down my store or break my theme?
No. Zoketo loads as a Shopify app embed inside an isolated container, so it doesn't touch your theme's code or styles. You switch it on with one toggle in the theme editor, and it works with all Online Store 2.0 themes.
